Happy Birthday, Bird!

The annual Charlie Parker Birthday Celebration was held
on August 24 at Bird's grave sight in Lincoln Cemetery.
Ahmad Alaadeen, Bobby Watson, Ronnie and Lonnie McFadden,
Loren Pickford, Charles Perkins, and the
Dirty Force Brass Band were among those from the
Kansas City musical community who
came out to pay tribute. The
party continued at the MutualMusicians Foundation.
