Jazz Pianist

hard to figure taste, one note sambas requested then recapitulated with grace ease of movement black shoes keeping time while black face reflects if not bliss then something deeper rolling over notes spinning clear of objects his blithe look inspires and yet somehow distances us from him his suit so correct his white cuffs exposed exactly so those nimble fingers touching our moods so easily exposing us to sheer temptation yet distancing too as if we could never shake hands with the man without awe without our eyes widening just to let his lively murals enfold us sheltering us from death from melancholy from asphalt roads reeking of gasoline.
