Longtime KC Jazz Ambassador
Dean Hampton was onhand for the Grand Reopening Celebration
at Jardine's on April 8. Here are some of his snapshots from
that festive evening hosted by special guest Karrin Allyson
and attended by a who's who of the KC scene... performers and
aficionados alike.

Last year's inaugural
benefit concert for the Coda Jazz Fund was such a rousing success
that an encore was sure to follow. Dean Hampton and son David
were also in the wings for this star-studded event, held on
May 17 at the Gem Theater. Here are a couple of pics from the
father-son scrapbook. (Note: The Coda Jazz Fund was established
to provide financial assistance for the funeral and burial expenses
of deceased career Kansas City jazz musicians. Donations are
welcome year round. Make checks payable to Coda Jazz Fund and
send to P.O. Box 412116, Kansas City, MO 64141-2116.)
