EVERY
VENUE COUNTS!
Yes, the Blue Room, the
Club at Plaza III, Jardine's, the Majestic Steak House, the New Point
Grille and the Phoenix do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes
to presenting jazz in the clubs. And yes, all you have to do is
remember such departed haunts as the Mardi Gras, Club 427 and the
Drum Room to appreciate how risky presenting live jazz can be. Which
is why we don't want to overlook those who are also doing their part
to showcase local talent. One way or another, each are making an invaluable
contribution to KC's collective Labor of Love, and by doing so are
helping to keep jazz alive in Kansas City.
