by Mike Metheny Another Time, Another Place While doing some independent research about KC guitarist Don Winsell (see "The Guitar & Kansas City Jazz" in this issue), I came across an interesting artifact from Kansas City's jazz past. The all-day jazz festivals held at Municipal Auditorium in the '60s were memorable events, not only for the major national names who appeared each year, but because they showcased the stunning abundance of local talent that was the norm in those days.
