Always the good sport, pianist Paul Smith "studies" a book presented to him at a recent Soundtrek recording session. "My New Year's resolution," said Smith, "is to make the Corinthian scale work on the first four bars of 'Giant Steps.' Maybe I'll find the answer somewhere in here."
